If it's April......

Two Aprils ago, Mr. Yesteryear Acres was getting his first of two hip surgeries scheduled.  Last April Mr. Yesteryear Acres had the first of two knee replacement surgeries. So it it is April.......

You guessed it!  Another surgery for Mr. Yesteryear Acres

No food or water after midnight and promptly ready for the first surgery of the afternoon to begin

Only to find out surgery has been postponed several hours

Some people will do anything to extend their special "date" day. LOL

We ended up being the very last 2 people left at the surgical center but thankfully made it home last night.

Mr. Yesteryear Acres is recovering nicely and glad to be home!

It's Colton Day!

 When Hazel woke up this morning she JUMPED out of bed and said, "Mommy!!!! It's Colton Day!" Today was indeed Colton day, a whole day where Colton and Hazel got to play together at Hazel's house. And boy oh boy has she been counting down the days! If you can think it, they did it! It was a most successful playdate. I do believe everyone will be sleeping soundly tonight. (Especially me HAHA)

First up, Hazel has been SO excited to show Colton her Frozen legos. They built Elsa's whole castle! Then Colton said, "Now what Mimi?"

So I showed him Hazel's Houdini lock box

Colton was a quick study! (You are welcome dear brother of mine)

"Now what Mimi?"

SO then we made homemade waffles and used our Winnie the Pooh waffle maker

Once all the waffles were eaten...

"Now what Mimi?"

So I took everyone outside while Thatcher went down for his nap.

Ahhh time for some fresh air!

"Now what Mimi?"

So we collected some sticks, Hazel liked this one because its branches were like a little broom

"Now what Mimi?"

SOOO we sniffed some fresh dandelions like bunnies

"NOW WHAT MIMI"

How about you take your dump truck and wheel it ALLLL the way from the bottom to the top of the hill. I will help you collect flowers along the way....

"Okay... but now what Mimi?"

Let's play pretend fishing. Take these lonnnnng pieces of grass and let's see what we can catch!

Uhhhhh.... Well Thatcher is awake. Let's use our imaginations inside 

QUICK! Get across the rock bridge! Don't fall into the rushing river!

Whew! Time goes by FAST when you never sit down...

"Mommy, I am going to lay down. That was a lot of fun!"
