We received this update from one of our Doodle Doggies and it filled our hearts with tears of love. Their Doodle Doggie's unconditional tail wagging devotion goes straight to the heart. It is heart warming and tender but also requires a box of tissues to read.
Real Love is like that.
This little pup was brought home for the family and right away the puppy made it known that Grandpa needed him the most.
Captain Doodle loved Grandpa
And Grandpa loved Captain Doodle
The two were never apart
Grandpa and Captain had the best of times together
They were truly made for each other

Captain stayed with him until the very end
And Grandpa was surrounded by love.
Captain loved his Grandy. My daddy would keep a large bag of mini milk bone treats in it and room such joy in giving him extra snacks. He lived with us and as the dementia set in, he would get down and feel lost when trying to remember things or start to feel defeated. We could always count on Captain to take away some of the frustration and fear from him and make him smile. He loved taking a flashlight and showing how Captain chased the lights when the amazing home health nurses would come by. Captain was given special permission to come visit him in the hospital the last time he was admitted because it would calm him down and give him peace. He stayed with us at hospice and my dad definitely was surrounded by lots of love and our sweet Captain when God called him up to heaven. Captain is his mommy’s shadow… but he would always stay right with my dad because he knew where he was needed most. Thank you for giving him the best friend he never knew he needed.
