The Making of a Fabric Line

Amelia and I attended our monthly Heart of Ohio Quilter's Guild and we had the best time ever. We had been looking forward to May's meeting for months and finally the big moment was here!  Deb Strain was May's speaker!  I met Deb in Kansas City and she is the warmest, sweetest, kindest, and most thoughtful talented artist.
We became instant best friends when we met. She even brought my fabric purchases back to Ohio for me!  She is the best!
I couldn't wait to hear her talk about her process in designing a fabric line for MODA fabrics.
Deb draws everything by hand
She pours her heart and soul into designing her collection
This is all hand drawn with a micron pen
Even the background wording is handwritten
Each complementing piece is added to her overall fabric theme
This definitely makes me BEE JOYFUL!
Then Deb hand paints her drawings
Every single sample is painted by Deb
Each fabric line has 17 unique paint colors
And then those drawings are turned into gorgeous fabric!!!!
The fabric details are just as amazing as her meticulous drawings
Thanks Deb!
We think your artwork is BEEutiful!
And so are you!

That's What Tiggers Do Best

As our hayfield continues to grow, the cardinal rule of "Don't Play in the Hayfield" becomes more important with each passing day.  Mr. Yesteryear Acres doesn't really like trampled hay but.............
Look at this beautiful hay
I wonder what it what it looks from the other side
It sure looks fun!
"We really shouldn't play in the hayfield Doodle Doggies"
But that's what Tiggers Do Best!!!
We are...
Bouncy
Trouncy
Flouncy
Pouncy
Fun Fun Fun!!!
YES!!!!  That's What Tiggers Do Best!!!!

Happy Tuesday Adventures

Maple's Double Doodle puppies had their first outdoor adventure!
Ready pretty girls?!
WOAH! Hey wait... What's this green stuff?!
It's kind of fluffy...
And we are fluffy!
What do you think boys?
OHHH I like this!!!
We should invite Nutmeg's Labradoodles to come outside with us and explore!
Uh Amelia!? This stuff is touching me!
Ohhhh so this is grass!!
It is soft like us!
And it's growing like us too!
Something tells me that I look fabulous in a sea of green
Well I say if you add some caramel to that chocolate it becomes a picnic
Oh can we go on a picnic next!?
Of course little puppies!
Happy Tuesday Adventures!

Always,

Amelia
