Not Early Enough

This morning we were all out the door early this morning in a vain attempt to beat the heat. I thought we were doing great to be on our walk by 9:00am but the heat and humidity said....TOO LATE!  I think on days like these we need to be out the door before 7:00am.  It all started out well

All the doggies were excited to be out walking

And then one by one, the doggies started getting hot and tired

And then it wasn't too long before......

The humans were hot and tired too!  We took enough water breaks and shade breaks to make it all the way through our walk.  5 miles accomplished.  I would normally say it was a LOT of fun but it was really sticky and hot which took away some of the enjoyment.  We have agreed to check the weather stats the night before and next time, we will get a much earlier start.  The doggies all said, "Good Idea!!!" Woof!!!
