Well at least I got my exercise in

Late this morning the dogs all started barking. It was definitely the "Stranger Danger" bark so I ran to the back door to see what was going on.  Way back in our yard was a man - just strolling around. He wasn't walking fast and didn't look like he had a care in the world.  Mr. Yesteryear Acres was down in the basement working on rewiring the electric for our kitchen so he didn't hear the commotion.  I yelled for him to come up and he immediately ran outside to see what that guy was up to.  Turns out - he let his dog out and couldn't get him to come back.  So there was the dog - RUNNING FULL SPEED all over our property and the man just strolling around waiting for the dog to finish the dog workout.  Meanwhile all our dogs are barking about the strange dog and try as we might - we could not catch that dog.  That dog ended up going through our horse fence and then proceeded to torment our horses for over 30 minutes.  Our horses are not used to dogs that bark and chase them.  Our dogs are super easy going around the horses and vice versa. Well this dog kept chasing the horses and nipping at their hocks and the horses were running all over the field trying to escape.  It was a nightmare. Mr. Yesteryear Acres and I kept working together to get the situation under control while we kept praying our horses wouldn't get hurt.  We finally got the dog between the two of us and the dog either had to run to one of us, or jump in our pond.  I am sure you can guess which one the dog chose.  Yep.  He jumped right in the pond.  He was quite easy to catch at that point because if he wanted out of the cold water, he had to come ashore where we were waiting with a leash.  He decided the leash was a much better option.  At this point, Mr. Yesteryear Acres and I had been outside for over an hour and a half and we were freezing, and tired and now......completely soaked.  We gave the dog back to the man and had him put his own leash on his own dog and he then turned around and started to walk back home. Unbelievable. Well......at least I got my exercise in.
