Freedom is not Free

On this the 13th anniversary of September 11th, it is vital to take time out of our busy day to remember and mourn those who lost their lives, those that lost their loved ones, and every one of us whose lives will never be the same. Freedom is not free.
"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty." – President John F. Kennedy
Thank you to my older daughter and her marines and all men and women who selflessly devote their lives to protecting our freedom.
Your sacrifices will never be forgotten.
I think my younger daughter said it all when she wrote this today,
"I will never forget the seemingly normal 3rd grade day that taught me about the horrible things in this world, and the heroes that rise among us. It is in times of tragedy that we need people like them the most, but it is everyday they should be thanked. Thank you to all the men and women who fight for our country. Never forget that freedom isn't free."
