This morning as we were eating breakfast, Mr. Yesteryear Acres thought he saw an eagle out our window. We dismissed it as a hawk and went about our morning. At lunch, I read a message from the Department of Natural Resources that said today was a good day for sighting eagles. We thought the timing was so funny because we were thinking we saw one earlier. THEN this afternoon as Mr. Yesteryear Acres and Amelia were busy getting firewood...Not one but TWO eagles flew right by them! They were so low to the ground that the Doodle Doggies thought they were friends! They watched the eagles with pure delight. If it weren't so surprising, we would have had the best eagle pictures ever!!!!! For now - this will have to do:
