Thankful for Thankfulness - November 30

Today is the last day of the Thankful Month of November. I am thankful for the 30 days of thankfulness.  I am thankful for my family.  I am thankful for my Doodle Doggies.  I am thankful for my animals.  I am thankful for the unconditional Tail Wagging Devotion that our furry family members give me every single day.  I am thankful for delicious home-cooked dinners and scrumptious homemade desserts.  I am thankful for laughter and times shared with those I loved.  I am thankful to love and in return be loved.  I am thankful.

Thankfulness - Aunties - November 29th

We are so very thankful for our Doggie Aunties here at Yesteryear Acres.  Sometimes Mommy Doggies just need a tiny break.  They need a little time to rest, maybe go outside for a minute without alllllllll their little puppies following them.  It is nice to relax once in a while.  Puppies never think mommies need to rest.  Puppies never think, "Mommy, why don't you take a nap?"  Puppies think..... ME ME ME ME ME ME.  That is when Doggie Aunties come in! Doggie Aunties say, "I will play with you!"  It is a wonderful thing!

Thankful - Birthday Girl - November 28th

Today is my mom's birthday and I am thankful that I was able to spend the afternoon with her.  My mom came over this afternoon, just to hang out with us. Did we have a big afternoon planned full of festivities and celebrating?  Nope!  My daughter made everyone fresh squeezed orange juice and then we just sat around and chatted and laughed and enjoyed each other's company.  It was the perfect afternoon!  We made my mom a huge homemade dinner with almost everything fresh from the garden and then for birthday dessert.....homemade meringue kisses!

Thank you mom for being the cornerstone of our family.  You are there for us whenever we need you.  You put us first and drop everything just to make our lives better.  You love us fiercely and your own happiness is always found in creating happiness for others. 

We appreciate you and are so thankful.

Thankful Mondays! November 27th

Puppy Picture Monday is always something to be thankful for.  I love having cute Doodle puppy pictures to post. Mondays are full of "awwwwws" and "ohhhhhh" and cuddles!

Thankfulness - The Little Things - November 26th

Each day I am so very thankful for all the little things that add up to one big happy day. There are countless moments that make life wonderful and I am thankful for all of them. A cuddle from a Doodle Doggie. Help with chores. A purring kitty. An entourage of four-legged best friends that happily accompany me on all my tasks of the day. My morning cup of coffee. Texts from family. Laughter. A clean kitchen. Gratitude. Homemade Goodies. Help unloading groceries. Shopping buddies. Saying, "Thank you." Family Dinners. Smiles. Tail Wags. Doodle Doggie Posts on our Facebook Wall. Little happy moments occur all the time and when you connect them all - it is one big continuous circle of love and happiness.  I am truly thankful.

Thankful - Doggie Games! Nov 25th

They are very thankful for the beautiful weather today and thankful for the humans who took the time to play Doggie Games with them.  We took walks today.  We played outside today.  We had time to play lots of fun games.  It was a very thankful Saturday!

Thankfulness - I Love Pie - Nov 24th

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. What is better than family food and fun?!!!  A special thank you goes out to Amelia who stayed behind at Yesteryear Acres to take care of our beloved Doodle Doggies and Doodle Puppies. It was sad that we couldn't have our whole family together for the big feast but we were together in spirit.  After dinner, we had the 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Day Pie Contest. The pies are judged on both presentation on taste.

Thankfulness Day!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is here!  It is the day for giving thanks all day long.  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  I love the feasting.  I love the time with family.  I love giving thanks. Every Thanksgiving we take the time to go all the way around the table and say what we are most thankful for.  My thankfulness is always the same.  I am most thankful for my family. There is nothing more precious or more important to me.  The unconditional love of my family completely fulfills me and I am the most grateful and happiest and luckiest person to be surrounded by so much love.

Happiness is a Kitchen Full of Family .....both two-legged and four!

Thankfulness Thanksgiving Eve....The Dishwashers

As we prepare for tomorrow's Thanksgiving Feast, there is no better time to express our deep thankfulness and appreciation for our dishwashers.  Yes, I did say dishwashers....as in plural.  With all the baking and cooking and more baking, the dishes really pile up.  Where can we turn for help? Who will help us clean up the many many dirty mixing bowls and dishes?

Thankfulness - Plentiful Potatoes - November 21

The last of the garden has finally been harvested. It is POTATO TIME!  We are thankful for our plentiful potato patch!

Everybody loves digging up potatoes! 

But even more fun is.... washing them!

Thankfulness....Little Puppy Love....November 20th

Our sweet Doodle puppies bring smiles and cuddles and thankfulness to our hearts and fill our lives with tail wagging devotion.  They are a blessing every day and we are so grateful for their love.
