Not A Swimming Day

Today was a "Hurry, let's get a quick walk in before the next set of storms roll through".  It was NOT a "Let's go swimming" day.  I even told the Doodle doggies that it was definitely not swimming weather.

Grits!  We just started on our walk! Are you already wet?

Don't play the, "I'm just walking around the perimeter" game

Blue says, "See?  This is where she splashed me!"

"Grits is all wet!" 

"Who me?"

Let's do it again! 

Grits! It is not a swimming day! 

"Ummmmm I am merely wading" 

"I am hardly wet at all!  Let's go snuggle in bed!"

Happy as a Doodle Dog

One of the very best things about being surrounded by Doodle Doggies is forever being surrounded by happiness.  Doodle Doggies are happy every day.  No matter what the weather.  No matter if they had a good night's sleep.  No matter if the humans are grumpy.  It doesn't matter.  The tail wagging devotion never ends and Doodle Doggie smiles are always to be found!

Being outside makes me happy

Exercise  makes me happy

Swimming makes me happy

Exploring makes me happy

Playing in mud makes me happy

Just being me makes me happy

Happy as a Doodle Dog!

Bucatini Night

Supper time at Yesteryear Acres can only mean one thing....Mmmm Mmmm Good! Cooking delicious meals and enjoying family time around the dinner table is something we treasure.  It is our time to share our love and gratitude.
Tonight's menu...

For those not familiar, bucatini is a thick hollow spaghetti noodle 

It is perfect for soaking up lots of sauce 

Did someone mention sauce?  How about some delicious mushroom sauce?!

Afternoon walks with the Doodle Doggies are one of our favorite things to do.  It happens to be the Doodle Doggies favorite time of day too! Today we had an extra four-legged friend......

Not Lamb Like

Well here we are on the very last Monday of March.  I am not sure I believe the adage, "In like a Lion, Out like a Lamb" because I am fairly certain the Lion has been here all month. Last night's storms were definitely not lamb like! For today, nothing beats snuggling with Maple's adorable Double Doodle puppies!  No matter what the weather... puppy smiles are everywhere!
