Always Amelia’s Birthday Bash!!

 Amelia’s 29th Birthday is today!!!! We had the best day celebrating this wonderful, smart, caring, sweet, hardworking, and animal loving young lady!! In true Yesteryear Acres form, we showed love in the best way we know how- with lots of food and animal snuggles!!!! 

The day started with beautiful freshly fallen snowflakes 

Followed by the birthday girl’s breakfast request of  fresh squeezed orange juice and cinnamon sugar toast

Time for a kitten cuddle or two 

And a mug of Birthday hot cocoa for a mid-day wish!

The final touches on Amelia’s birthday cake

It’s Banana cake and baked with love! 

Now for tackling tonight’s dinner menu- Chana Masala with Coconut Milk 

Vegetable goodness for the herbivore of course 

Homemade Curry from scratch! 

Don’t forget the garlic butter naan 

Now that’s a birthday dinner fit for celebration! 

But wait! save room for the cake! 

Blow out the candles and make a wish! 
We hope all your dreams come true Amelia! We love you so much!! Happy Birthday!!! 

A Tale of Two Flatbreads

On tonight's dinner menu- Flatbread, and in true Yesteryear Acres style a Story as well.

Our story begins with two flatbreads, destined for greatness

Sliced cherry tomatoes

And a whole lot of avocados

Our flatbreads were then toasted with butter and garlic paste, then smeared with cream cheese straight out of the oven

Add the avocado, and by avocado we mean LOTS of avocado greatness

A dash of tomatoes and everything but the bagel seasoning

One with chicken... supervised by Miss Gracie and William of course

And voila!

One perfect meat lovers flatbread

And one vegetarian heaven flatbread artistically drizzled with a balsamic glaze

With that, our story comes to a delicious end with not a bite left to spare!

Mmmm! Until next tasty story time!
