What do you mean...boundaries?

Earlier today Blossom's little Goldendoodle puppies had so much fun playing outside on such a beautiful day. They ran around and ran around and had their fill of happiness.  We brought the puppies back inside for a nap and then this afternoon was round two of recess time.  Only this time......
Wait....we have to stay inside the puppy playground?
What do you mean we have to learn about boundaries?
Amelia.....do we have to stay in here?
"It's okay little puppies.  Every puppy needs to learn rules and boundaries. You can still have lots of fun playing!"
Guess Amelia is right!  This is still lots of fun!
Let's Play!!!!!

Mr. Yesteryear Acres - Our Hero....Again!

I think Mr. Yesteryear Acres rather enjoyed his hero status 2 weeks ago and has actively been working to outdo his last heroic feat.  Well, he has done it.  I am happy to report that our dishwashing hands are now a thing of the past! The dishwasher is back in service!  With a few gaskets and whatchamacallits and flux capacitors....he got the dishwasher working!  We didn't even need to buy a new dishwasher!  Mr. Yesteryear Acres saved us so much money and brought our dishwasher back to life.  He is a bonafide hero....again!
The Doodle Doggies say, "Now that you don't have to wash the dishes by hand, let's go for a WALK!"  Good idea Doodle Doggies!  Good idea!

Off to Louisiana!

My brother has another amazing internship this summer! This year he is going to Louisiana. Austin will be missed terribly here at Yesteryear Acres, but we are so incredibly proud of him and all he is doing in the field of Agricultural Science and Systems Management. This morning the plan was for him to leave at 10:00am - which would give him an excellent head start to his drive and leave him with an overnight hotel decently close to where he needed to be. However time here at Yesteryear Acres is a little different. 10:00am sharp can sometimes mean 12:30pm. The doodle doggies totally know when someone is leaving for a longer period of time and they just need some extra hugs before you go! Once his truck was packed (also taking a tad bit longer than scheduled) his lunch packed, and his final hugs to Olive and the rest of the Yesteryear Acres Doodles, Austin said his goodbyes to us for the summer and pulled out of the driveway around 12:30 this afternoon. We are such a close family that when one of us leaves it is always sad. I will miss you smelly little brother, or shall I really admit that I will miss you big strong, smart, and goofy young man. Have a wonderful summer in Louisiana and don't go looking for too many gators in your kayak!

Have a safe trip Austin!

Blossom said some ice cubes might cheer up Olive. And...

A quick cuddle in bed!

Don't worry Olive! Everyone here at Yesteryear Acres is ready to give you lots of extra love until your boy comes home!

Blossom Puppy Visit Day

Hello everyone! It is Amelia once again reporting from Yesteryear Acres. We have a very strict visit policy here at Yesteryear Acres to ensure the safety and health of our doodles that restricts visits to a very specific day for the puppies. And Today was Blossom's puppy visit day! I have to say that I LOVE puppy visit days. I just love meeting all the families and helping pick out the perfect puppy for them. It always gives me goosebumps when a family and a puppy chooses each other. Sometimes they just know who their family is supposed to be! The puppies had a very busy morning meeting new people, giving extra kisses, accepting lots and lots of belly rubs, and of course tons of cuddling! They even got extra time outside romping around and showing off their favorite toys once the rain had stopped this afternoon. We had a few puppies even show off their excellent landscaping skills and created a nice little mud pile under a beloved lilac bush. One family suggested the name 'John Deere" for the little landscaper! It was quite the exciting day full of lots of laughs and bunches of love. Once all the visits were over Blossom's sweet little puppies were out like a light! They told me to tell everyone thank you for such a wonderful day full of love! I hope everyone is enjoying the start of the holiday weekend as much as Blossom's fur babies are!

Hmmmm....I wonder who the landscaper was?

 Amelia

Perfect Day in May

The Doodle Doggies and I went for a walk and had the best time.  It was just the perfect day in May.  Not too hot.  Not too cold. Bright sunshine in the brilliant blue sky.  Perfection.  We took time to appreciate the beauty of the day.
The Doodle Doggies really wanted to go swimming but today was just a walking day.  No wet doggies today!
Our flowers are blooming all around the edge of the pond.
Happiness!
When we returned from our walk, Mr. Yesteryear Acres had a new hanging basket for us to enjoy.
Thank you for the Perfect Day in May!

Hay! Don't Tell!

I love watching our hay field blowing in the breeze. The ripples remind me of ocean waves.  I love to walk along the edge of the hay with my fingers extended and touch all the tops as I walk by.  It is a beautiful sight.
One of my most favorite views at Yesteryear Acres
When the wind blows through the field, it is a moving picture of Nature's Beauty.
The only thing is that you must admire it from afar.  You should never walk in the hay field.........
Ummmm Doodle Doggies!!!!  I don't think Mr. Yesteryear Acres wants you to play hide and seek in the hay!
You better come back before he sees you!
Hurry Blue!
Hurry Olive!
"Hay! Don't Tell!  That was sooooooo much fun!"

Biscuit Eating Devotion

Everyone knows we have nothing but Tail Wagging Devotion here at Yesteryear Acres but did you know we also have Biscuit Eating Devotion?  Oh yes. Not regular biscuits mind you - but Dog Biscuits. This week Amelia has been busy grooming our Doodle Doggies.  Our Doodle Doggies just LOVE Amelia because whenever the Doggies are done with their grooming, they get a delicious doggie biscuit.  Well Mr. Yesteryear Acres came home with a new box of Doggie Biscuits.  All natural and made with molasses.  You would think that Mr. Yesteryear Acres would just test the "deliciousness" of the new dog biscuit on one of the Doodle Doggies.........
Mr. Yesteryear Acres - are you actually eating the Doodle Doggie Biscuit?
Why yes.  Yes he is.
Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmm.
Definitely good enough to give to my sweet Doodle Doggies.
Wait - are you sure?  What does the Bunny Doodle Doggie Biscuit taste like?
Well it has a nice crunch
And great texture
Pretty good!  Back to the Grooming with new treats!
Come on Doodle Doggies!!!!!
BISCUIT TIME!

But We Don't Want To

Our Double Doodle Puppies thought that it would be really fun to make Puppy Picture Day last and last and last. Why should the cute doodle puppies look at the camera all together?  That is no fun!!!!!
Peaches Double Doodle girls say, "We will look at the camera!!"
"But not if you put ALL the girls in the picture!"
Peaches Double Doodle boys say, "The second you let go of us, we will do our own thing"
From Left To Right...."I'm being good, I'm eating my brother's ear, I'm taking a nap, I'm telling a secret and I'm gonna pounce!"

Truffles Chocolate Double Doodle puppies were pretty cooperative
While Truffles Caramel Boys said, "But we don't want to!"
Truffles Caramel Girls were happy to nap through it all

Grits Double Doodle Girls say, "WE ARE SUPERSTAR MODELS!"
"Take our picture!"
While the boys said,"I will not look at the camera, I will not look at the camera"
And, "We are outta here - PLAY TIME!"

Finally - Sweet Pea's Goldendoodle Puppies all happily crawled into one big snuggle pile and said, "Take all the pictures you want"
Ahhhhhhhh
Happy Tuesday!
