Floral FriYAY

 We thought we would fill your Friday with the most beautiful Echinacea Coneflowers.  I mean who doesn't love a Floral FriYAY?!?!

The Echinacea are in full bloom

I can see why people call them Queen of the daisies

I love how they fill the landscape with such rich colors

This deep orange is a big favorite of mine

Sunshine yellow is pretty awesome too

We need to plant more of these for next summer

They make me smile every time I walk outside

Magnolia's Winston

 One of Magnolia's Goldendoodle puppies named Winston sent us a message to say he was very excited to hear Magnolia was having babies next month!

I heard my mommy was having puppies!

We can't wait to see them!

Make sure you let me know as soon as they are born

I know they are going to be PAWfect!!!!

Hello Zoo. Goodbye Zoo

 We have been planning on going to the zoo today for the past month and I checked the weather forecast and by all accounts - we were in for a great morning at the zoo.

The sky was beautiful as we made it to the first exhibit

By the time we got to our third exhibit.... it was time to recheck the forecast

Ummmmmmm This is not looking good

The skies continued to darken

quite quickly!!!!!

Even though we had driven over an hour to get here and 

we only saw a few exhibits

It seemed pretty evident that it was time to head home

Exhibits started closing and hail was heading our way

Time to leave

EVEN THOUGH THE SKY WAS AWESOME

Definitely in a hurry to get to the car

Bailey on the Boat

 We received an update from one of our Yesteryear Acres Goldendoodles. Bailey has been living her very best life. She will be turning 8 years old and her family is ready to add a little doodle sister for her. Our sweet Magnolia will be having English Goldendoodles next month and they can't wait to welcome a new furry family member later this summer.

Until then.....

Bailey will be spending her summer days living on her boat

Studio Sunday Layouts

 We are continuing our work with our Memory Quilt order and I have been working on layouts to make the coziest quilt possible. 

Counting fabric squares

We decided to do 5 shirts across and 7 down for maximum hugs

Hmm what to place next

Hazel says this process is her favorite part 

She says, “10/10 recommends quilts for the best naps”

Thankfully my Mom came in and helped me pin the last few rows

And then Hazel finally decided to wake up from her nap and join the fabric fun!

Just a few more shirt squares to place!

I really love this layout (top row is currently on bottom). I’m going to sit with it for 24 hours and keep checking on it to make sure my brain loves it before I start sewing like the wind!
