Caturday Rhyme Time

 Our sweet Devon Rex kittens are just so much fun

We love every one

One little kitten came to play

I mean TWO little kittens came to play

"What about me?" ... We heard the third kitten say

Three little kittens came to play

And one decided to snuggle and sway 

leaving two kittens who chose to stay

And the second kitten liked the idea of snuggling all day

so only one kitten decided to stay

but then changed his mind and said I need to snuggle okay?

So they all decided to snuggle...Hooray!

Happy Caturday!!!!

Snack Time!

 Hazel was playing inside with Thatcher when she stopped all of a sudden and went *toddler dramatic gasp* "MOMMY! Stuffy Charlie NEEDS a picnic snack. We must go make one for him right now!"

So we found the PAWfect picnic blanket for Stuffy Charlie and got to work

This meal required a Head Mud Kitchen Chef

And her Sous Mud Kitchen Chef

And once Stuffy Charlie was full of "soup" and "doggie food"

It turns out Hazel really wanted a snack

And Thatcher too of course

Have a Story Havanese

Another bedtime approaches and that means it is time to start our TWO(+) hour night time wind down

Newtly in the Area

 We have had SO much rain that our backyard is now the perfect habitat for long-tailed salamanders!!

Look at this little cutie I found this morning

Hazel LOVES newts and I know I KNOW the long-tailed salamander IS NOT a newt.

But I will not be correcting my child and this creature is now a newt named Freckles in our family

"Hi I am new(t) to the area! Nice to meet you!"

Oh little newt! I am glad we have something so cute out of all this squishy drippy droopy weather!

Monkeys in the Rain(Suits)

 Investment WELL WORTH IT!! The toddler rain suits have already proved to be worth their purchase as the sky above WILL NOT STOP raining on us!! With two toddlers bouncing off each other, the couch, the dogs, the walls..... I just had to do a quick dive into our weather app to TRIPLE check for no lightning and toss my toddlers into their rain gear and breathe a HUGE Mama sigh of relief.

Cool Cooper

We got the coolest PUPdate from Cooper!! Cooper is 10.5 and is living the most beautiful life with his PAWrents.

After many amazing adventures with his family, he is very excited about the prospect of a new furry family member to bring along on his exPAWlrations. 

Fingers and paws crossed Cooper, we hope to have puppy news by the end of this month!!!

Oh Me Oh My Apple Pie

With a bag (and tummies!) full of fresh apples and the first hint of fall in the air ... it was time to get to work.

Baking of course!!

Time to make a freshly picked apple pie 

With a homemade butter crust

From the trees to our dessert tummies!

Thank goodness I had helpers make this pie!

Our apples were miles high!

A little tasty dusting

Mixed to perfection by my autumnal baking assistants

With a quick text: "We are on our way! Please preheat your oven to 375*!

Our "Oh Me Oh My Surprise Apple Pie" was ready for transport to GGs house

Now THAT smells like fall!

First round of pie and we are already missing half the pan!

Thatcher gives his first taste of apple pie 10 out of 10 stars- no forks required stamp of approval

Hazel's reaction to our homemade pie...

"I make really good pie!"

Yes you do my little baker! Yes you do!!!

The ABC Apple Picking Adventure

Once we finally hit the 'Ber months, there's truly only one thing to do to say "thank you" and "goodbye" to Summer and "thank goodness, HELLO" to Autumn... Apple Picking Adventures! Austin and Bri took their family to the orchard this past weekend as a fun family outing. 

Caleb LOVED the idea of apples truly growing everywhere out of the trees

And safeguarded his precious apple from everyone who dares to  come between him and his tasty fall treat

Colton is an expert apple picker

And best big brother

And tasty happiness was had by all

ABC Apple Picking Adventure Success!

Now to wait for the Melrose and Apple Cider Season!
