We Can't Wait!

 We are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of our spring puppies! Another excited Yesteryear Acres Doodle alumni can't wait for his new sibling to arrive, COME ON PUPPIES!!!

This sweet boy is Jack! He is one of Mango's puppies that I had the awesome privilege to train almost 7 years ago

He is such a good boy and now has two human brothers he spends his days with

And he can't wait for one little one with paws to be on the way!

Toddler Studio Sunday

We have been so busy preparing for our little puppy paws to arrive, we haven't had any free time to create in the Y Acres Studio. Adding severe storm prep to our already long list for today, and there simply hasn't been even a second to sneak in some sewing. Hazel has been asking and asking to "Go to the Studio Mommy" and luckily Grandpa had the very best idea! He has been saving this big special box for a clubhouse, and today we quickly turned it into a Toddler Studio.

And Y Acres Toddler Studio Clubhouse was open for business

Not only could she color all the pictures

But the walls of her clubhouse too!

Caturday Fun

Our little Devon Rex Kittens are really starting to love playing and exploring

It is so fun to watch their little personalities develop and grow

Rainy Fri-Yay Toddler Fun

 When asked for the 2209858750934 millionth time to "Do bubbles Mommy. Please Mommmmmy. Bubbles please. Mommy Swing please". Where once again I explained that it is raining outside and we cannot blow bubbles in the rain... I knew it was time to find a rainy day indoor toddler activity. A quick google search and Voila! 'Unicorn Bark' became our new project.

To make Unicorn Bark, we used plain greek yogurt, vanilla paste, a little maple syrup, organic food coloring, and organic sprinkles. 

With lots of bowls and spoons for mixing our unicorn colors into our yogurt

We learned how to make the colors orange and purple!

And any spills became a delicious clean up mission by one Hazel Bea

*Slurp*

When all our colors were made, we plopped and swirled all our unicorn yogurts into a lined small cookie sheet. 

Time to clean up!

Hazel was a big fan of our indoor project

Topped with the rainbow, our unicorn bark was ready for the freezer!

Keep your fingers crossed for us that this tastes good... and that we all retain our sanity through toddlerhood on rainy days!

10 Year Maple Babies

 We received this cute picture of Maple's sweet Double Doodle puppies from 10 years ago.  This was our last picture update before the puppies all headed home.  What a cute bunch!!!!!!!

 Tax preparations has consumed all of our free time so the Y Acres Studio has been very quiet lately.  We missed being surrounded by color and needed to come up with a way to add a little color to our day.
