Y Acres Studio Back It Up

It has been increasingly difficult to find time to work in the Studio but this week I managed to start a huge project that has been waiting for me.  We have a quilt top that was sent to us.  It needs threads trimmed and a back made and also needs quilting and binding.

This is the quilt back I received.

I'm going to have to get busy!!!!!

First up.....Math!

43"x185" of material so I need to fold it length wise, cut it in half and then sew the long edges together down the middle

And voila - I have sewn together a 92.5" x 84" quilt back

And now I must IRON FOREVER

Who doesn't love 55 solid minutes of ironing one quilt back???

Ready to load!

Alright!

Phase one complete.

Now onto cutting batting and loading the quilt.

Slowly but surely this is coming together!!!

Spring Litter Love

 Our Spring Litters have all arrived!!!!!!

We are so excited that our Double Doodle and Goldendoodle Puppies are here! Mommies and Puppies are all doing great.  Our hearts are full.

Our Spring litters will be the only Doodle Puppies we will have until late Autumn. We are going to enjoy every little pawprint this Spring!!!

 Bally said the very best part of last Sunday was definitely story-time.  

She loves it when the grandkids come over to visit.

Bibbity Boppity Two

Hoppy Easter!

 We hope your Easter Sunday was filled with sunshine and smiles.

We were blessed with beautiful weather and the Easter Egg hunt was awesome. The Easter Bunny visited Bri and Austin's house and tirelessly tied helium filled balloons to every Easter Egg.  The balloons did not fare well against the cold wind but no one even noticed.  A great time was had by all!

Finding the red ballon/Easter egg combo was so much fun for William.  He caught onto the concept quickly and loved it.
