Lamb...Lion

 Happy FIRST day of Spring!!!!

We awoke to a most glorious Spring morning.  The sun was shining.  The birds were singing.  The air was warm.  Spring has Sprung!!!

This beautiful March day came in like a lamb

and then this afternoon 

the skies darkened

The temperatures plummeted

and

the Lion roared as the

snow clouds filled the sky

Happy Spring!!!! .... (I think)

Hint of Spring

 Tomorrow's weather is going to be a bit cold and dreary so today seemed like a much better day for celebrating the changing of the seasons. Today we were treated to a little preview of Spring and it felt wonderful. 

There is nothing like a fresh breath of Spring air to rejuvenate the soul.

Despite the forecast for the next 2 weeks.......

Woof Charlie

 Charlie Doodle has been a very good boy since leaving Camp Always Amelia.  Charlie is so sweet in sending Hazel updates on how he is doing.  Hazel loves hearing from Charlie and brings her own "Charlie Doodle" doggie with her every day. Hazel says HI CHARLIE!

Equipment Hauler Y Acres Studio

 Colton has amassed a very nice equipment collection. He can't possible leave home without his beloved excavator and dump truck and skid steer and roller...and...and...and. 

It is a lot to keep track of!

It was obvious he was in dire need of an equipment hauler. 

Y Acres Studio to the rescue!

Unfortunately, Grandma does NOT have any construction fabric

but I did have pretty cool train fabric

Time to get busy

Come Outside

 This morning I started diligently working on our taxes.  I had out my highlighters and pens and calculator and paperwork and receipts and computer.  I had been at it for a few hours when Hazel ran in and said,

"Grandma Come Outside!"

I told her I was busy working on taxes but then Hazel took my hand and said "Grandma come see Hazel Bea" with the cutest pleading smile that I ever saw.

So of course Grandma went outside.

Grandma I can fly!!!!

After flying, Hazel let me know we HAD to do

 Bubbles!

This definitely beats tax work!

Before I headed back inside, Hazel said it was time to feed the horses

"Hazel do it Grandma"

Sunbeam Birthday Morning

 Sweet Ella Rose sent us her birthday picture this morning.

She said the sunbeam came in through the window to bring her the brightest of birthday cheer.

 Oh my goodness!  We are so excited for our upcoming Goldendoodle puppies! This will be our first litter of the year and we can't wait to have sweet puppy snuggles again!!!!!

 Today we are celebrating 15 years of blog writing. For 5,479 consecutive days, we have written a daily blog.  We have never missed a day of writing. We have written in times of great sadness and in times of great joy.  We have written about life and death and birth and happiness and sorrow. We have taken time out of each day to share our life here at Yesteryear Acres.  We made a commitment 15 years ago to write every day so that families could feel connected to our lives here.  That level of commitment is what we bring to everything we do.  If we say we are going to do something, we do it. We are grateful to share our lives and our passion with you. Thank you for all the many families who have placed their trust in us in choosing their beloved best friends. Thank you for taking the time to read about our beautiful furry family members, our Y Acres Studio creations and everything we love at Yesteryear Acres.  We are grateful for you.
