Call in Reinforcements

 Today has been beyond busy here.  Between the Devon Rex Kittens and the Goldendoodle Puppies and Mr. Yesteryear Acres recovery from surgery it has been all hands on deck.  When it was time to give Mr. Yesteryear Acres a health check - we had to call in reinforcements.

Double Knee

 A year and a half ago, Mr. Yesteryear Acres successfully healed from back to back total hip replacement surgeries giving him more mobility than he has had in years. He faithfully went to all his physical therapy appointments and followed through with all the at home rehabilitation exercises.  For about 6 months following the 2nd hip surgery, things were going great.  Mr. Yesteryear Acres was walking faster than he had for years. Then slowly but surely Mr. Yesteryear Acres knees reached their end points. The bone on bone knee pain was too much and the surgeon agreed, both knees needed immediate replacement.

Today marks Knee #1 

Total Knee Replacement

Second Knee will be done in 6 weeks

Here we go again!

Comical Caturday

Our Devon Rex kittens really know how to brighten our days. This Caturday morning was no exception... They went into full on clown mode and made us laugh endlessly with all their crazy cute kitten antics!

Why Spring... Why?

After another night in the basement with a toddler who very much did NOT sleep through the tornado sirens (I would like to personally thank all the doggies for keeping Hazel happy and laughing and not at all afraid. I think some homemade treats are on the agenda!) I needed a few reminders of WHY I EVEN THINK I LIKE SPRING. So if you are in the struggle bus as much as we are today, here are some bright spots of Spring to help remind us all the joys of this season...

I really hope their blooms make it through this weather week

I want to be as peaceful as a magnolia blossom

WHY SPRING WHY?!?

Please let us sleep safely. I didn't see myself missing the dark days of bundling up my feral toddler in layers just to go outside for one minute, so quickly into April.

Can we please have bubble days back??
