Camp ABC

 Earlier this summer Hazel was invited to her very first sleepover! Now she 'technically' already had a sleepover when I had to go to the hospital to deliver Thatcher, but this sleepover was for pure cousin time fun. When Colton had his Dad (my brother) ask Hazel's Mom (me) if she could come over for a sleep over... I saw their faces just staring at us in pure hope... I could do nothing but say yes. Now this event was ONLY hard on me. As I missed Hazel every second of her departure. BUT MAN did she have the very best day ever ever ever.

I received the most adorable tiny human "pupdates" as Hazel thoroughly enjoyed her time at Camp ABC (Austin, Bri, Colton & Caleb).

The first of many wonderful cousin best friend sleepovers and play days to come.

I told Austin and Bri that Hazel gets to do like maybe ONE fun thing like that in the week and the rest of the time she helps me with the puppies and the kitties etc. (which she loves and requests to do, I obviously do NOT force my 3 year old into the family business!) Now that they shoved a whole months worth of amazing fun into one day, she's never going to want to come home!!! 

Oh Camp ABC.... Hazel is calling!

Tiffy and the Furry Bunch

FOUR Years Young

 We celebrated Colton's Fourth birthday this weekend in the most Colton way possible! My nephew is the funniest hardworking authentic kid ever. Hazel and Colton are the BEST of friends and I cannot imagine a time our family did not have this awesome kid in it. In True Colton fashion we had a party at Grandma and Grandpa's pond where he requested to catch his own fish and fix it for dinner. I mean WHAT else does a four year old boy want to do for his FOURocious Dinos and Diggers birthday party?!?

Bri even found the coolest coloring page tablecloths! I think this is the longest any of our kids have sat still at the table- and YES we will be implementing this new genius idea on a regular basis.

Caturday Rhyme Time

 Our sweet Devon Rex kittens are just so much fun

We love every one

One little kitten came to play

I mean TWO little kittens came to play

"What about me?" ... We heard the third kitten say

Three little kittens came to play

And one decided to snuggle and sway 

leaving two kittens who chose to stay

And the second kitten liked the idea of snuggling all day

so only one kitten decided to stay

but then changed his mind and said I need to snuggle okay?

So they all decided to snuggle...Hooray!

Snack Time!

 Hazel was playing inside with Thatcher when she stopped all of a sudden and went *toddler dramatic gasp* "MOMMY! Stuffy Charlie NEEDS a picnic snack. We must go make one for him right now!"

So we found the PAWfect picnic blanket for Stuffy Charlie and got to work

This meal required a Head Mud Kitchen Chef

And her Sous Mud Kitchen Chef

And once Stuffy Charlie was full of "soup" and "doggie food"

It turns out Hazel really wanted a snack

And Thatcher too of course

Newtly in the Area

 We have had SO much rain that our backyard is now the perfect habitat for long-tailed salamanders!!

Look at this little cutie I found this morning

Hazel LOVES newts and I know I KNOW the long-tailed salamander IS NOT a newt.

But I will not be correcting my child and this creature is now a newt named Freckles in our family

"Hi I am new(t) to the area! Nice to meet you!"

Oh little newt! I am glad we have something so cute out of all this squishy drippy droopy weather!
