Happy National Dog Day!! Although every day feels like National Doggie day here at Yesteryear Acres, it is so wonderful that we get to celebrate all together!

On our way to 104!

The yearly goal for canning tomatoes is 104 quarts.  

That gives us 2 quarts of tomatoes per week.  

Canning season is officially off to a great start!

Today was a hot one in the garden! According to the weather channel, it felt like 98*.  The weather channel was right! Whew!

We also had to deal with intermittent downpours 

But don't worry - we got today's haul of tomatoes in!

Time to fill up the quart jars. 

We were able to get three loads done today.

24 down.

Only 80 more to go! 

We love the garden from our head TO*MA*TOES.

Monday-est Monday

Doodle puppies make even the most Monday-est of Mondays better.

We heard it was Monday

Happy Birthday Mrs. Yesteryear Acres!

 Today is Mrs. Yesteryear Acres Birthday!!! So in true birthday princess fashion, I set out to make all my Mom's favorite things. It isn't every day that you get a whole day that is all about you and your favorite things!! And even less often that you get a day off here at Yesteryear Acres, but with everyone's help, we were able to make a super special day for her. 

First you have to start Mrs. Yesteryear Acres' birthday morning with her favorite breakfast...

Cream Cheese Coffee Cake of course!

With extra orange zest and a honey drizzle finish

Then some pattern making for a new Criss Cross Apron

I love watching her new ideas come to life!

So beautiful, just like her!

Then I made a family holiday staple, Strawberry Jello Salad to go with her birthday lunch

Then it was a perfect summer sunny after lunch walk

With my birthday bestie of course!

After all, we had to make room for birthday dinner!

Next up... Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting! To be enjoyed with a big glass of skim milk and the company of the Yesteryear Acres workforce and a Hallmark Movie.

YA Studios - Sew We Need One More

YA Studios has been busy fulfilling our orders.  Here's a look at what's been happening this week: 

We are still making Face Masks 

They now all have our new comfort elastic 

The elastic is super soft behind your ears 

So now you can stay healthy, look good and be comfy!

My son ordered a rugged durable tote for all his training gear 

I drafted a new design with heavyweight canvas and inner and outer pockets. 

Already on the job!

Amelia is busy working on an order for a green colorway queen size quilt 

And then of course we had to make a few more YA GO! bags! 

We love the shorter handles
