Buckwheat's Tribute

I finally was able to make time to embroider a fleece shirt in memory of my sweet horse Buckwheat. I miss her every day.

I wanted to make the back of the shirt with Buckwheat running wild and free.

Buckwheat had to have tons of color on the back

And the front of my shirt is how I will always remember her

My beautiful paint horse with her auburn mane blowing in the wind looking at me with the kindest eyes.

Soup Time!

Nothing says it is Fall like big bowls of homemade soup! It fills the tummy with warm hugs! Tonight Amelia made Roasted Tomato Bisque.

Fresh picked Basil from the garden  

Homemade vegetable stock with caramelized onions 

Freshly picked tomatoes and garlic - roasted to perfection  

Into the vegetable stock they go!  

A quick puree ..... 

Ready! 

Mmmmm Mmmmm Good!

Someone ate all the soup.

Don't worry.  I will go out and pick more tomatoes for you!

YA Burger

We have been working so hard today that night fell upon us before we even realized it was that late.  Our rumbling tummies might have alerted us to the passing of time but we couldn't stop work until our "to-do" list was done! With imminent starvation near, there was only one thing that could possibly save us all ... Mr. Yesteryear Acres burgers!

We have been saved!

Toasty buns, fresh picked tomatoes and garden potatoes and Mmmm Mmmm GOOD!  Time for Dinner!

YA Studio Here and Gone!

This has been a busy week for YA Studio!

I finally made a YA Go bag just for me! 

I totally love it!

And before I could even take it out of the studio,

it was purchased. 

Time to make another one! 

Getting all the pieces ready takes hours  

Whew. DONE! 

I totally love it!  I shall keep this one forever!

And then.... this one didn't leave the studio before it was sold either. 

This time I am going to pretend this bag is NOT for me 

There is no way I absolutely LOVE these colors
