He is SO HIP Now!

 Today was the long awaited day for Mr. Yesteryear Acres.  After several postponements and cancellations by the surgical office - Mr. Yesteryear Acres Total Hip Replacement happened! 

We arrived early in anticipation of a noon surgery time.  No food or water since midnight.

And then we waited.

And waited

AND waited!

STILL WAITING

We waited so long Mr. Yesteryear Acres didn't even need anesthesia to take a nap HA HA!  Finally they came and performed the surgery.  Mr. Yesteryear Acres hip was much worse than they anticipated and one of the worst hips they have seen.  The surgeon put in a brand new hip but the tendon and ligament degradation and tightness will require intense physical therapy to regain any range of motion.

Mr. Yesteryear Acres is ready for the long recovery process.

For now - he will be in a recliner for a few nights and meds around the clock.

First PT session is Friday morning!

8:00pm and heading home!
