123123 Happy New Year's Eve!

As we say goodbye to the very last day of 2023 we are grateful for all the wonderful moments that filled our year.

In January, Olaf joined our home making our Devon Rex family complete

February's cold weather gave us extra reasons to stay inside and snuggle our best friends

March brought new creative designs and patterns to the Y Acres Studio

In April, Always Amelia welcomed her little Hazel Bea to the family

The May Mother's Day celebration brought four generations together

June's beautiful weather was perfect for Doodle Happiness

July's late night gardening made for a bumper crop of veggies

August found us overflowing with gratitude as William's mobility continued to improve and playing with the pup pups was never more fun

In September we stocked up for the winter and canned our many garden veggies

October brought a new spring to Mr. Yesteryear Acres steps as his first bionic hip was a huge success

November's holiday preparations were appreciated by all

December brought much joy and happiness with the Holiday Season and 

we are all looking forward to a bright and shiny New Year!

Last Caturday of 2023 -Christmas Gift

 We had an extra special gift arrive this Christmas!!!

New little Devon Rex Kittens!!!!

Four beautiful babies born on Christmas Day!

We have 2 girls and 2 boys

Their coloring will develop in about 3 weeks but it looks like we will have Seal Points and Blue Points.

Last Fri-Yay of 2023!

 It’s the very last Fri-YAY of 2023!!! How in the HECK did this year fly by so quickly!? And when did my baby get so big?!!!!? In a few days I will have to say Hazel Bea was born LAST YEAR. 

I will have to put her to bed before midnight and I will have to say "I haven't held you since last year!" in the morning when she wakes up.

DOES time move faster once you are a parent?! The 3+ years it took me to have Hazel felt the longest in my whole life. And now I swear I have blinked and she is now almost walking! 

So many things happened in 2023- Life, loss, love, and everything in between. I am so grateful to have this time to reflect on our last Fri-Yay of 2023 as well as thinking ahead to what 2024 has in store.

Kitchen Support

 Nellie's sweet Double Doodle Puppies are just the most content happiest puppies.  They love snuggles and love hanging out with us.  They are a great bunch!!!

We are the official kitchen support staff

Y Acres Studio Interior Design Sunday Update

 This week's update is all about color!!!!  

My mom asked for a very bright and cheery pastel colored interior.  

She wanted to start this chapter of her life in full color.

Wish granted!

Her blush walls are happening!

It is so exciting watching the huge transformation

The fireplace mantel is designed with all my mom's favorite rocks including her geology hammer from college.

 Our sweet Devon Rex kittens are starting to make their way to their new homes.  We said goodbye to two of our kittens this morning.

Merry 8 Months

 If you can EVEN believe it (I know I can’t!) my sweet Hazel Bea turned 8 months old today!!! Hazel is REALLY on the move now. She is army crawling/scooting, little leapfrog table top jumps, pulling herself up to sitting, pulling herself up to standing, and dancing! Squealing in delight, clapping her hands, and waving are her speciality. Making Hazel the friendliest cheerleader and motivator ever. I just love my sweet baby so much!
