Y Acres Studio - When You Feel Like Being Fancy

 Face mask wearing is a big huge pain.  There is never a time when I think, "Oh Boy!  I can't wait to put this face mask on!!!" No matter what our personal feelings are about wearing them - it is what is necessary to keep everyone safe.  Y Acres Studio is still busy making face masks for those who wish to wear something a little special from time to time.

She Said Yes To The Dress

 Today my son's fiancée Bri and I went shopping for her wedding dress.  We had the very best time. Every dress looked so beautiful on her and it was so hard to choose a favorite until she put on THE dress and then we knew right away! Of course we can't share the one she ultimately chose but we can share some of the fun we had!

The wedding dress selection was wonderful!

We were so lucky that my mom was able to join us for the shopping!

We might have taken well over 100 pictures

Don't worry - we won't post them all

But when we say it was hard to choose our favorite one

It really was!

We loved the entire experience

And said no to all the dresses we just shared

But....She Said YES to the Dress!!!!!

And we can't wait to share all the wedding photos later this year!

HOME.... FOREVER!

 This past week Mr. Yesteryear Acres and I accomplished a huge task! We brought our daughter and newborn grandson home!!!!!! Our Marine Corps Captain is home FOREVER!!!!!! She is an official home owner and even better.... her sister is her neighbor!  They share the same driveway and live right next door to one another. Amelia and Abigail now live just 2 miles down the road from Yesteryear Acres and we are going to have so much fun sharing our lives together.  AND ... our son Austin purchased his home just 8 miles away and moved into his home 2 weeks ago!!!  Yesteryear Acres is now complete with everyone close by and connected.  

Happiness fills our hearts.

Y Acres Studio - What If

 We have been super busy and it has been far too long since we have had quality time in the Y Acres Studio.  We had some big exhausting projects pop up and we are almost to the point where we have things settled. I found myself plagued by insomnia and decided I had to make something in the Y Acres Studio.  I needed to clear my head and create!

What if.....

I put these fabrics together

and sew them in a tube

and then turn the tube inside out

To create beautiful pillow cases!!!!!

and why make one pillow case

when I clearly can make more?!

Wait! What if.......

The pillow cases are altered and then turned into chair covers?!!!!!

Our chairs are so old and rather unattractive

They need something bright and cheery!

I definitely can't leave some of the chairs bare.....

So obviously ALL the chairs need new covers!

I must make more!

Now that is a happy chair!

 Happy Friday Everyone!!! The sunshine is back and all of the doodles and honorary doodles are so happy and feeling good! All this happiness inspired me to make some feel good treats!!
