Down the Road

 There are so many reasons to be grateful that our oldest child Abigail moved just 2 miles down the road.  Most might think the best reason is because she is finally home and officially done with her time in the Marine Corps.  I mean that IS a great reason to be grateful but that is not what brings me to my gratitude moment of the day. Others might say it is because our new grandson is so close by and we get to see him all the time.  Another great reason to be grateful but today's deep gratitude moment goes beyond that. Way beyond that. Today it is all about FOOD! Abigail is a fantastic cook and today she asked if we wanted to come over for dinner.

Stuffed Blueberry French Toast with Homemade Bread (of course!)

A few quarts of fresh picked blueberries

Hot from the oven sliced bread

Simmering blueberry topping

Cream cheese filling with walnuts

Time to plate!
