Thankfulness Day 17 - Helpers

If anyone happens to notice the date on today's calendar, it might just cause a slight panic attack because Thanksgiving is only 5 days away!  5 days until everything needs to be ready! We have been super busy with our sweet Doodle puppies so I sent out an SOS and of course the hard working crew at Yesteryear Acres all came to the rescue to help start getting things ready for the big Turkey day.

How can we help?

I will work on the centerpiece! 

We are practicing for the after turkey feast nap!

We have the best helpers around!!!!

Thankfulness Day 16 - Indoor Fun

Our weather continues to be quite dreary.  We were faced with the prospect of many bored doggies here but instead - they had tons of indoor fun.  Our son spent the day at Yesteryear Acres providing mental games and puzzles for the doggies.  I don't think a single doggie missed playing outside.  All the fun was indoor fun today!

Everybody loves agility trials and scent/search games! 

A little slight of hand with the tennis balls.  Which cone hides the coveted tennis ball?  Which two are empty?  The doggies love this game!

Thankfulness Day 15 - Warmth

We woke up this morning to Yesteryear Acres covered in ice. 

It was definitely a wet icy freezing rainy miserable weather day. 

Even the grass was crunchy 

Despite all the freezing rain ......being thankful was super easy.  

We are so thankful for the warmth of our house. Mr. Yesteryear Acres fills our wood burning furnace with wood every chilly cold day.  He saws, and chops, and stacks all our firewood without ever complaining. It is a back breaking chore but there is never a winter's day without a nice toasty warm house.

Thankfulness Day 14- Ernie's Potty Training Progress

Today I am thankful for Ernie's progress in his potty training! He has been accident free overnight since his second night at my house, and hasn't had a mid day accident inside for 5 days! I think he is really getting the hang of it! I am even more grateful that he is starting to be able to walk outside by himself without me needing to carry him. I am VERY grateful for that because Ernie McDoodle is becoming one big Doodle! Today he weighed in at 19 pounds!!! Professor Maverick Doodle has been very helpful with Ernie's progress as well! Maverick always sets an excellent example of going outside, doing his business, and coming back to the door. Ernie has really started to follow Maverick's lead a ton and I couldn't be happier :) I am so thankful to have my own puppy to watch grow and become a master of going potty outside! I love my goofy doodle dogs!

Thankfulness Day 13 - Thank you for raking the leaves!

Mr. Yesteryear Acres is just the best.  He raked all the leaves.

Thankfulness Day 12 - Thank you to our Puppy Families

Thank you so much to all the wonderful puppy families who came to Yesteryear Acres this weekend.  Our puppies are so lucky to have such loving families to go home with. So many thankful hugs and smiles and tears of joy filled our home this weekend.  It was awesome!
