January Sunset Walks

The ringing in of the New Year always brings New Year's resolutions and the promise of a better year. We are all doing great on our resolution to get in more steps each day and our sunset walks are proving to be the highlight of our evenings. 

Walking by sunset brings a magical beauty to the air. 

The sky is alive with the colors of happiness 

The doggies definitely appreciate Mother Nature's landscape art 

Bear says, "Isn't it beautiful?"

Sun-Filled Play

We finally got a break in the cold rain and Maple's Double Doodle puppies were able to venture outside for a short sun-filled play session.

We have had so much dreary rain rain rain 

Psssst.....I heard the sun was going to come out this afternoon

That sounds lovely  

We are ready to venture outside!!!! 

Can't wait!  

It is going to be so fun 

Ahhhhhh Just feel that sun beaming! 

It feels so good 

I hope we get to do this again tomorrow!

Plowing the Clouds

When I say we work all the time here at Yesteryear Acres - it is no exaggeration. We work day and night. However, when Mr. Yesteryear Acres texted me that he was busy plowing the clouds, I have to admit, I doubted him.  Seems like he sent picture proof!

Plowing the clouds into nice furrows was tricky. 

But Mr. Yesteryear Acres managed to make nice straight rows with his tractor in the sky!

Napping Friends

We are so lucky here at Yesteryear Acres that all our creatures both big and small get along with lots of love and tail wagging devotion. It makes for days full of snuggly cuddly fun.

I shall watch over my friend and keep him safe and sound 

Friends that nap together are the very best kind of friends!

Post New Year Recovery

We have been on our feet baking, cooking, working, decorating, UNdecorating, and entertaining non-stop for days and days and days and last night, we finally took a break.

Hot Chocolate with toasted marshmallows is definitely needed for 

post-recovery awesomeness.

Happy New Year and Welcome to 2020!!!! We started our day with the traditional New Year's resolutions.  One of my resolutions was to make sure to meet my daily step goal and not fall short no matter how busy I am.  I also want to make sure to savor some of the little moments in life.  Mr. Yesteryear Acres and I love to have a cup of coffee on the dock and the entire year of 2019 went by without us ever making it to the dock once for coffee.  I don't want another year to go by without us taking moments here and there to enjoy life's simple pleasures. The doggies resolutions were the same as every year - Live with Tail Wagging Devotion!
