Indoor Day

 Mr. Yesteryear Acres and Austin spent the entire day outside chopping wood.  Colton and I said it was much to cold to be outdoors so we had an indoor day together.

We pulled out the good ole 1970's Little People Castle and House

and nothing....I mean nothing beats a trap door and a moat!

Of course the castle was surrounded by dragons as every 

good castle should be

The "cat dragons" were the most fierce of all!!!!

After lunch we decided that coloring was the perfect activity

Colton was busy drawing his own indoor woodpile and fishing pond

when he saw a picture of his daddy on my digital picture frame

Colton: Grandma? When did I feed cows at your house????

 Me: That's your DADDY Colton!!!!

Colton: Do you have more pictures of my Daddy when he was a baby?

Grandma, Where am I driving the dump truck?

Me: That's your Daddy Colton

Grandma? Why is my goat so big?

That's not your goat Colton 

Colton: Grandma?  Where is my cake?

Me: That's not your ....... you ate it.

Colton: Oh Okay!

Let's go build a fort Grandma!

Two Blanket Day

 This cold weather is no joke!  It is C O L D!!!!!  

Beau Doodle has decided one blanket just won't do the trick.

Days like these call for a TWO blanket day!!!!

We couldn't agree more Beau!!!!

Tail-Wagging Tasty

What is a better way to spend a morning than a project with those you love?

So I asked Hazel if she wanted to make homemade doggie treats this morning, she said, “Yes but with William and Auntie Abigail too! OH and Mommy, they need to bring Pepper!”

We prepped our ingredients and called Auntie Abigail and a baking day was underway!

We found a new treat recipe and substituted apple sauce for some pumpkin purée and then added some crunchy peanut butter and flour to make a rolling dough PAWfect for cut out treats

A star and holly were selected for this batch of treats - Someone is still loving Christmas hahaha

Sister Y Acres Studio

 My sister is here for the weekend which is just the perfect timing for some creative decorating!!!

Always Amelia's birthday is coming up and we want to make everything beautiful for her party

You can never have too many paper flowers!!!!! 

In the midst of our decorating, my sister pulled out a beautiful art gift that she brought with her. She knows how much we love working in the Y Acres Studio!

I said - "OH MY - this beautiful art journal goes perfectly with my aesthetic.  I love it!!

Turns out though.............

It was for my mom!!!!

I mean it does look like she loves it EVEN though I was fairly sure the journal was perfect for my studio. I suppose she can have a turn enjoying her lovely creative side!!!!

Back to paper flowers for me!!!!!!

 It is a dangerous thing to sit on the floor in our house.

Our First Havanese PUPdate

 Ooooh We are so excited!  We received our first Havanese PUPdate!!!

We just loved having those little nuggets around and are so happy to see how they are doing in their FURever homes.

Bella says she is up to 4lbs now!

She is doing great at ringing the bell by the door to go outside in this cold weather to go potty.

She is loved by everyone in her family and is PAWSitively the best!!!

Call Me Snuggly Maverick

 Ruby's Red Caramel boy is loving his new FURever family and has his grateful tail wagging every day with pure happiness.

His family named him Maverick and he is the cuddliest lovebug!!!!!

Clarence Doodle

 We received an adorable PUPdate from Ruby's boy with the wavy coat. His name is now Clarence and he is bringing much joy and love to his new family.

Seamus Doodle

We received the cutest PUPdate from Seamus!

Seamus was the last puppy chosen from Ruby's Double Doodle litter.

Seamus says waiting the longest was worth it because his family is PAWfect!

His big brother Wheatley just loves him

and his oldest brother Berkeley is always sharing his favorite toys

This Yesteryear Acres Trio could not be any cuter!!!!!!

Puzzle Break at Y Acres Studio

 Mr. Yesteryear Acres and I decided to take a short morning break from our work to have a little fun in the Y Acres Studio. We didn't have time for a major art project so we broke out a few puzzles.
