Roast Beast

Tonight we celebrated with our big Christmas dinner. We had the most scrumptious meal including

Beets from our garden that we saved just for our Christmas Meal

Fresh baked buttermilk bread

and a huge Roast Beef -which we always lovingly refer to as "Roast Beast in honor of the Grinch Who Stole Christmas

Sadly - in our overwhelming delight in having our big Christmas feast - we forgot to take a picture of the Roast Beast!  It was delicious though! 

We finished the meal off with Christmas Molasses cookies.

And even though the meal was cooked to perfection and mouth wateringly delicious.....our favorite part of all..... having our family home.

Nothing is happier than that.

Gingerbread Village

Tonight we decorated our gingerbread houses. As always - much fun was had!!!!

Opening Presents Early

It seems that the Yesteryear Acres Doodle Doggies and doodle kitties are eagerly waiting for Santa to arrive. I believe there is a conspiracy to start Christmas a bit early........

Today we worked on our Holiday Village. We all love building it together and the time just flies by as our Christmas town comes to life.

There's my way of organizing pieces 

and there's the other way 

We all have our sections to build

The Christmas Train is coming to town

I love the Christmas Cottage

with the family gathering around the fireplace

Time to put it all together

It's a winter wonderland!

Whew.  All that construction work is tough!  Must have reinforcements.  Homemade Caramel Popcorn should do the trick!
