Garden Grill Delight

Today my vegetarian soul was filled with delicious happiness and joy. Not only was there an abundance of fresh garden veggies to pick, but mother nature also provided a perfect evening for grilling! And you know what that means.... Garden Grill Delight Night!!! ALL vegetables ALL from the garden, and no animals required in the making of tonight's dinner! My Dad, AKA Mr. Yesteryear Acres, has perfected the art of vegetable grilling. 

My hero of fresh picked veggies and favorite gardener, my Dad!! 

Just look at all these beautiful colors!

After some quick prep work, the Grill Master expertly organized tonight's feast

He had many grill rounds to cook!

So that we could have all the grilled garden goodness we could eat!

Grilled Eggplant anyone?

Scrumptious Zucchini 'Steaks'

Heavenly clouds of garden potatoes

Mouth watering bell peppers

And my first plate of very many veggie servings!!

I am the happiest (and most full) vegetarian girl in the world!!

Is This How You Wear It?

With so many states mandating masks be worn at all times when out and about....we are doing our best to help mask wearers look good!

The first step in making mask orders is to have the best helpers

Ernie McDoodle says, "That's a good 1/4" seam allowance!"

A little bit of reds and pinks 

Mixed in with some black and navy 

add a dash of grey 

and brilliant blues 

and Always Amelia says, "You can't forget your greens!" 

Equals a perfect mask rainbow!

This morning's order ready to pleat! 

Blooming in Green 

Farm Charm 

"Oink you glad you wore your mask?" 

Strawberry Jam 

"Jammin my way to the grocery store" 

Teal Leaves 

"Gotta leaf the Covid germs behind"

That's How You Make It Rain

Every day the forecast predicts a pop-up afternoon shower or thunderstorm and every day, not a drop of rain falls here at Yesteryear Acres.  It has been dry.  Our garden has been sooooo thirsty.  Today, Mr. Yesteryear Acres went out with his trusty 4 gallon bucket and began watering all our plants. His mission was to save our veggies!
He filled up our 65 gallon water tank, filled up his bucket, walked to a plant, dumped the bucket and then back to the tank again. He filled the water tank 6 times and emptied a total of 97.5 buckets.  In the middle of filling the water tank for the 7th time, the clouds gathered and the skies darkened.

And.....it began to rain 

And now you know - 97.5 buckets is the magic number to make it rain! 

Wow! Mr. Yesteryear Acres is so powerful! 

And that's why our veggies love him!

Doggie Babysitter
