Last night I was standing in the horse pasture getting Willow and Cheyenne up to eat their dinner, when I saw the biggest most brightest moon I have ever seen!! It was so perfect I called my Mom and told her she had to put her boots on and come meet me in the field right away!! Last night was a celestial event called a Pink Moon!! And boy was it BEAUTIFUL!
Have you ever made a snack that was so good that it just makes your whole day so much better?? It wasn't like I was in a bad mood or anything when I set out to make some food for my very hungry stomach, but after my delicious creation, I have been on cloud nine !! I took some naan, toasted it with butter and garlic paste until it started to turn a golden brown. Then I dotted the top with pieces of Havarti cheese and let it sit in the toaster oven until they just started to melt. Once melty, I added fresh baby spinach and let that sink into the cheese. Then when the spinach just started to wilt, I pulled out my naan creation and topped everything with a balsamic glaze. I have to say, I tried to take a picture first, but it smelled sooooo good I just had to take a bite!
We have been so busy here at Yesteryear Acres that we have barely had any time in the Y Acres Studio. We miss our studio time creating wonderful things for all of you! Today we had a curtain project to finish for Mr. Yesteryear Acres and with the little time we had, we called in reinforcements! A big thank you to Bri who came all the way out here to spend her Saturday with us!
I am so happy that my sister and her little family have moved back home! What's even better is that we are neighbors! The other day I walked up the hill to Abigail's house and picked up William- or rather stole him- so she could have a little 'Me' time (let's be honest, it is hard to shower and take care of yourself when you are a new mom, and she really really needed a shower, if just for my sake hahahah). William and I then set on a great adventure to my house and it was time to make cookies!! Together we made Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies :)
Happy Earth Day!! Today is the 51st annual celebration of loving our planet and bringing awareness to our environment. Although every day is an Earth day, it is nice to have a dedicated day to say Thank You to our planet for caring for us. We love our beautiful planet! Let's celebrate caring for our Mother Earth
Today has been an interesting mix of snowflakes and flower petals. At first glance, the Doodle Doggies were not quite sure what was falling from the sky- you know since it is the end of April and all.
It has been a blustery day of snow showers and spring flowers!
