Love is All Around

If you are ever feeling down in the dumps or if you ever sit around and wonder, "am I loved?" - I have the quickest and surest way to find out that YES in fact you ARE loved soooooo much.  All you need to do.... is lie down on the floor.  Yes, that is it.  Within seconds you will know without a doubt

Monster Cabbage

Mr. Yesteryear Acres has a bumper crop of cabbage this year.  The cabbage plants just keep growing and growing and growing. He finally decided it was time to cut the smallest baby cabbage from the garden so we could have it for dinner.

Poor little baby cabbage.  Never got to grow to its full size! 

Mr. Yesteryear Acres says we should eat the entire cabbage for dinner

Ummmm....there is no more room! 

Oh Good!  Just enough left for a late night snack!

Hint Hint

This morning next to my cup of coffee I found a little hint waiting for me. There was a perfectly polished apple just relaxing next to my daily dose of happiness.

Hmmmm what could this mean?

Just as I was pondering the significance behind the apple.... Mr. Yesteryear Acres just happened to walk into the kitchen. He casually said, "man we have a lot of apples to eat... I bet some of them would like to become a dessert"

Aha! The apples would like to become a dessert would they? I guess I can work with that!

And one big pot of apples ready to become homemade caramelized apple sauce!

How to Get Ready for Work

My morning routine is probably one of my favorite reasons why I love working at Yesteryear Acres. It looks a lot like this...

Rise and shine Maverick! Time to get up and start the day!

But first I must snuggle with my favorite alligator while you brush your teeth... Mav is the king of hitting the snooze button!

Once at work... it is a whole other chore to get your boots on!

Mr. Bo

This weekend my furry friend I was training, Mr. Bo, went to his Furever family. I will miss having this chocolate lovebug around! We had so many adventures together. Bo was just the best boy! He is now walking on the leash like a pro and sitting on command. He absolutely LOVED his Cheerio treats. Have a wonderful happy snuggly time with your family Bo! Can't wait to watch you grow up.

Goodbye Kittens

This weekend the sign goes up for the last litter of our Fall Kittens to find new homes.  Our summer kitties were chosen quite quickly and we weren't all the way prepared for how fast they left Yesteryear Acres.  I think this time we are ready to say goodbye to the kittens but but but but

They are so cute!!!!!
