Color My Kicks Y Acres Studio

 I recently ordered a pair of orthotic sneakers that are "hands free" with extra arch support for plantar fasciitis. They have super awesome orthotic inserts and I can quickly put on the shoes and take them off with ease.  I ordered the most "vibrant" color they had which is a mauve purple.  The other colors were black, grey and white - so obviously purple was my only choice! The shoes are great but being me - I needed more color!!!! 

Time to get out the fabric markers!

Pint Sized Sunshine Fri-Yay

 Another grey rainy fall day meant that I just needed to look to my 'Mini Me' to find a pint sized ray of sunshine! 

And a super fun Fri-Yay was found indeed!

First we had to test out our brand new 
"Indestructible" book. Hazel just LOVES baby faces!

She is working so hard on sitting up independently too. I am so very proud of her!

After her very thorough book testing Hazel took a nap in the baby carrier and I worked on making her favorite food- Carrot Puree!

Prepped and ready for the freezer! 

I can't wait for Hazel's next pediatrician appointment next week! We crossed off all the foods he suggested she eat from her last visit and I can't wait to see what she should try next!

After a full tummy it was time for some more activity

We added a tent to our play gym to make today extra special

Hmm... Something is different...

Autumn Beauty Inside

 We were grateful for yesterday's beautiful sunny skies as today we are back with another misty cloudy day. No worries though! We can bring Autumn beauty inside!

Wednesday WOW

 Today we were blessed with the most beautiful Autumn day!  We have had several days of very gloomy misty days so the bright blue sky was a welcome change.

Hazel says, "Let's go look at the fall colors!"

Forgot to Get Glasses

 We worked hard to see this past Saturday's solar eclipse. We had a very cloudy and rainy Saturday AND I forgot to order solar eclipse glasses. Our chances for viewing were definitely stacked against us. We went outside just about every 20-30 minutes only to see a completely cloudy sky.  Right at the peak of the solar eclipse - the clouds parted and we were able to take a few pictures with our phone.  

Obviously solar eclipse glasses would have been MUCH better 

But even without actually "seeing" the eclipse

it still looked pretty cool!!!!

Don't worry - we never looked into the sun

We had our backs towards the sun and used our phone camera

Our clear sky only lasted a few minutes but we did get to "see" the eclipse happening! I think I shall start planning now for the April 2024 eclipse and get those glasses ready.  Can't wait to see that one!!!!

Black Dog October

 Everyone always talks about black cats for Spooky Season.  

Our Black Satin Goldendoodle doggies say, "What about us?!"
