What is the best way to celebrate the AMAZING human Mr. Yesteryear Acres??? A birthday feast fit for a king of course!! Our love is shared best with each other through our tummies and to honor the birthday boy himself.... A most wonderful meal was prepared
With homemade buttermilk bread
The best potatoes I have ever ever eaten.
Somehow they tasted like a crispy potato soup with a hint of fancy cheese!?! My Mom is a magician in the kitchen!
Caramelized onion wheels
And not pictured (since not eaten by me, sorry! Come on Amelia. Take the pictures for the blog!)
Steak and as requested by Mr. Y Acres himself, Panna Cotta for dessert!
Thatcher's thoughts on dinner- Chefs Kiss!
After we rolled ourselves away from the table it was time for presents!
And we all ended up getting him food related gifts
See! Love is shared through the tummy!
My family made Lemon Balm infused sugar from the lemon balm shoot we got from my Dad's lemon balm plant and transplanted together at my house <3 plus a coupon for a day that works best for him to make lemon balm shortbread cookies together. We also got him a metal old fashioned spatula that is ALMOST just like his favorite one that was passed down to him that is starting to crack from beloved use.
Abigail's family did ice cream mix-ins for homemade ice cream!
Different infused raisins- both in flavors and raisin varieties-, honey almonds, and vanilla beans!
Austin's family did ice cream parlor mixed nuts from a local ice cream shop near them, different chocolate shell dips, and the coolest ice cream bar mold I have ever seen!
We told our Dad that his gifts were given with love and an invisible but accepted note that says
"All presents must be shared with family's tummies!"
HAHAHA!
With much much love from our tummies to yours,
Happy Birthday Mr. Yesteryear Acres/Dad!
May you rest well from your Birthday Fête Feast!
Always,
Amelia
