Rain? What Rain?

We haven't had too much luck with dry days here at Yesteryear Acres but thankfully the rain showers are not a problem for the Doodle puppies.  They say, "Rain?  What Rain?  Looks like it is TIME TO PLAY!"

Hmm, Looks like another rainy afternoon 

We can't let the rain stop our fun 

Come on! Let's Go! 

I think we have explored all we can on the bricks 

Mr. Yesteryear Acres, can we go out in the grass? 

We can?! 

Hurray!  Let's Go! 

Now we can get really soaking wet! 

I think Mr. Yesteryear Acres loves wet puppies the most!

He said yes! 

Now he is all wet too!

Brown is So Much Better than Green

It seems as if Barkley felt a little jealous over yesterday's "Green Doggie" post. Barkley does not feel that green doggies should get the spotlight.  Noooooooo. The best doggies are brown doggies. Brown is SO much better than green!!!!!!!

"I went for a walk with Mr. Yesteryear Acres and found allllllllll the mud puddles!" 

"See how adorable I am with my new brown shoes?! I am such a good boy!" 

"Hey Mr. Yesteryear Acres, we can still snuggle in bed together right?" 

Well Barkley - Let's find Amelia first.  Not only is she the most reliable dishwasher in America.....she is the best dog washer too!

It's Not Easy Being Green

I wonder who might have found the pile of fresh cut grass clippings........

Why I didn't know we owned a green doggie! 

Did you want to share just how it is you became our favorite green doggie?

Well first, you have to run really fast through the grass..... 

Then you find your favorite toy 

And bury it and then find it again and then roll around in the grass with it 

Then bring the toy back and proudly display your new green hair!!!!!

See?  It's not easy being green!

Most Reliable Brand in America

Imagine my shock, utter sadness and complete horror-filled reaction upon walking into my kitchen and seeing this....

This hole was not there before.  There was a dishwasher there.  A perfectly shiny working dishwasher.  A dishwasher where one puts dirty yucky dishes, pushes a button and returns later to find shiny clean spotless dishes. Where is my dishwasher???????

OH!  There it is.  I am thinking this is not the ideal location for a working dishwasher. I am thinking this is not a good way to start the day.  I am thinking that the doggie dishes and breakfast dishes and morning coffee dishes are not going to get cleaned by the dishwasher. Evidently.....I am right.  Mr. Yesteryear Acres told me the (whazzit, flux capacitor, gauge, mechanism, whatever you call it) thing is broken inside the dishwasher and he ordered the replacement "whazzit, flux capacitor, gauge, mechanism, whatever you call it" part. (Mr. Yesteryear Acres used correct mechanical terminology here but that's what I heard.)  AND what's more - said broken part will not be here for 10 days.  WHAT?! ACK! TRAGEDY!  

I do not like the look of my future dishwashing odds.  Mr. Yesteryear Acres also said that the flux capacitor part might not fix the problem as the dishwasher is quite broken. WHAT?! ACK!  I am now supposed to research reliable dishwashers in case we need to replace ours.  ARGH!  I won't even know if we need a new dishwasher for almost 2 weeks and until then -it is good ole washing the dishes in the sink for us.

Never fear.

In my exhaustive research, I did find the most reliable brand in America....

Mr. Yesteryear Acres - a Cool Hero

This heat spell has really warmed things up here at Yesteryear Acres.  I feel like we went straight from sweatshirts to shorts! The house was really uncomfortable last night.  It was too hot to sleep.  The doggies were miserable.  The kitties were miserable.  The humans were miserable too!  I just cannot sleep in hot sticky weather.  Air conditioning day here is a BIG job.  We have all the window air conditioners stored in the attic.  Mr. Yesteryear Acres has to carry them all down and then outside to take them apart so he can wash all the coils and then put them back together again. Once that job is done, Mr. Yesteryear Acres carries the air conditioners back inside and builds the support system for each window so he can install them.  It is not a fun day but.........

Picnic Day

Blossom's Goldendoodle puppies are really starting to grow and fill out this week.  They are in the beginning stages of transitioning to solid foods. Mommy's milk still tastes the best but this solid food thing.....it is pretty yummy!!!!
