Back in Place

Today's goal was to finish up our big late summer clean of the downstairs.  Mr. Yesteryear Acres, my son and Bri have been taking the rugs outside to power wash them and then we have all been cleaning and polishing the hard wood floors.  Our furniture has been in disarray and finally today was "let's put everything back together" day!  It is so nice to have things back in place! As always, along with all the work......smiles happened all day long too.

You can see just how hard our Kitten Doodles were working.  

They are the ultimate helpers!

I got this beautiful handmade card in the mail today along with some lovely early birthday presents.  My sweet dear friend who lives in Kansas sent a little "Happy 50th" gift box.  She said that she smiled while making the card thinking about how much our friendship has meant to her over the years.  

I will treasure this card forever.

We took a small puppy training break this afternoon.  Scarlet was teaching the young pups all the basics.  They had a blast together.

We also took time to appreciate how tall the corn is getting!

And no day would be complete without admiring the setting sun while watching Old Glory.  Another Thankful Day. Amen.
