Pick it or Leave it

I have a question for you. This is definitely a scientific survey of the utmost importance with 100% accuracy in determining some hidden character trait that you never knew was crucial to life. Hypothetically - let's say you are doing laundry.  You are removing clean clothes from the washing machine and transferring the clean wet clothes to the dryer.  In pulling out the clean clothes from the washer, you inadvertently drop a sock. Now this is not the first time this has happened nor will it be the last.  The chances of dropping additional items as you switch loads is extremely high. In fact it WILL happen.  Another sock will drop, or a pair of boxers, or something will fall during the transfer.
Do you......
A) Immediately stop what you are doing and pick up the dropped clothing item (all the while knowing for certain that additional items will be joining the lone sock)
or
B) Wait until you have finished transferring all the clothes to the dryer and then and only then pick up any and all clothing items on the floor?
I am sure right now you are thinking - WOW!  This IS SO IMPORTANT!  I must post my response right away!!!!  I can share with you that I am definitely TYPE A and must pick up the fallen item immediately even if it means that I do this same behavior a dozen times in a row.  Both my daughters are also Type A and would never be able to leave a dropped item.  Bri is Type A.  My mom is Type A.  My sister.......picked B!!! She says, "The dryer is essentially a steam cleaning machine, so just wait" and she added, "Who does that?" and "you wear socks on your feet and you are worried about them touching the floor before they enter the steam cleaning machine????"
Yes, my dear sister yes.  I must pick up each and every item immediately.
My Doodle Doggies say, "Thank Goodness!"
What would you do?  Pick it or Leave it?

  1. Pick it up and throw it in the dryer before continuing to unload the washer.
