We love getting updates from our puppy families and seeing how much our Yesteryear Acres Doodle puppies have grown!

Barley is now up to 17lbs and is housebroken and really knows his "sit" command.  His "paw"rents just love him!

What to do. What to do......

After working all day doing chores and caring for the doggies and making face masks, I was gently reminded that it was after 9:00pm 

and no one had eaten dinner.

I opened the refrigerator to find some sort of dinner inspiration only to find that the refrigerator was basically just full of fruit 

I needed to come up with a dinner idea and come up with a dinner idea fast!!!!!!  I know! Blueberry Banana Pancakes for dinner! Except it was super late and I didn't have time to stand in front of the stove.  This is when a genius idea hit me... they are called "PAN"cakes.  So why don't I just mix the batter together and then throw it all into a pan???

20 minutes later it came out perfectly!  Everyone was served at exactly the same time and we enjoyed a nice square meal!  

I am using this idea again.  Genius!

A Little Bit of This

Today was a super busy day at Yesteryear Acres.  We had puppies to care for and doggies to care for and gardening and sewing and chores and lots more.  We didn't sit down for dinner until after 9:30pm. Whew. Even with all the non-stop work we still managed to enjoy a little bit of this and a little bit of that......

It was a beautiful day outside! 

And this evening was lovely too! 

We always make time for dog training 

and writing patterns and sewing 

and gardening! 

And no day is complete without enjoying a sunset.

Does That Spell Ernie? YA Studio

We have lots of new projects going on in the YA Studio.  I have been busy drafting some new patterns and putting together samples to share with you next week. I am fairly certain that I am continuously running measurements and math figures in my head 24/7.  My whole family knows it too! I get a glazed look in my eyes and someone immediately asks, "Are you thinking about sewing math right now?" I can't help it.  Makers gotta make! Speaking of making..... Ernie was quite certain one of the quilts we finished this week was just for him!

We had an order for a Doodle Doggie Quilt that had a sunny earthy theme. Their doggie just loves to lay outside in the grass soaking up the sun's rays.
