Goodbye Mr. Yesteryear Acres. Your hugs are the best!

It's a perfect fit!
What else shall I do while I wait?  Oh Look! A stick!!!
This is a good stick
Can I keep it?
I LOVE YOU STICK!!!!!
Is that my new family????? They are so nice!
I am one lucky puppy!
One last hug and my new adventure begins!!!

No Jacket Required

Yesterday was simply beautiful outside.  It was a "No Jacket Required" kind of day.  I actually hung my jacket up on a fence post and worked outside without it.  I thought....Spring is really here. I should not have these thoughts.....
When I opened the door to let the doggies out this morning, this is the wintry scene that greeted me.  Looks like it is time to grab that jacket again!
The Doodle Doggies wanted to see how the snow affected the pond level
Pond Inspection is serious work!
Still low by 27" - guess we need more rain.  Personally, I feel like our yard is quite saturated so if it could rain JUST in the pond, that would be super!
The snowy woods beckon for unearthing buried sticks!

You would think I would learn not to smile when taking a picture with Olive.
Thanks Olive.  I have the cleanest teeth in town!
It might be cold but it is also Snow Fun!

7 Year Blogiversary

7 years ago today, I decided it would be awesome to start a daily blog about life here at Yesteryear Acres.  I wanted a way to connect to our puppy families so they could feel the love we have for our Doodle Doggies and how very grateful we are to be able to spend our days loving sweet adorable puppies. When we started raising puppies, we had to take puppy pictures with a camera that took REAL FILM.  We would have a mere 36 pictures on a roll that took two weeks to develop, only to find most of the pictures were pictures of puppy ears and noses! Once digital cameras were invented, puppy pictures were so much easier to capture! The internet boom followed by the creation of our very own website was so exciting.  I love uploading weekly pictures of our puppies.  I still felt Yesteryear Acres needed more.  I wanted more than just a website. I wanted families to feel part of Yesteryear Acres. Seven years ago, I started writing every day and I haven't stopped. For the past 7 years we have not missed a single day of blogging. We have published 2,558 posts of love-filled, puppy-filled, doggie-filled, tail wagging devotion. Here's to post 2559.........
Here is our son in July 1998 training his first puppy
He was quite good at puppy deliveries as well!
Amelia says, "That's because he learned from the best!"
Our home has always been filled with tail wagging devotion
We have been blessed to have the 3 best puppy socializers in the world!
And their love of Doggies only grows with each passing year
We are grateful that our family business is our passion
And the next generation loves it as much as we do

Sugar's Sunset

The rain stopped just long enough for us to take several doggies for a lovely sunset walk.
A few Doodle Doggies headed off with Bri and Austin

But our Golden Retriever Sugar had a different idea
"Pssst....want to walk up the hill and watch the sunset together?"

"It will be so much fun"

"I'll even throw in a few kisses if you say yes!"

"Ahhhh, We made it"
Dear Sugar -You were right.  Watching the sunset with you is the best.
Thanks for the idea!
Let's call this one "Sugar's Sunset"
