Yesterday Mr. Rainbow Collar Curly Apricot boy took center stage so today it is Mr. Bright Squares Collar boy's turn. Mr. Bright Squares collar boy has a Caramel colored silky soft wavy coat and the bluest eyes. He is a sweet lovebug!
He is also available and for those living on the east coast - our puppy delivery day is Friday, February 28th.

Your Very Own Snowman Maker

I had many people ask if we have available puppies in Juneau's litter and the answer is yes.  We have one adorable caramel wavy coated puppy and one adorable apricot curly coated puppy still available.  They will be ready for their new homes starting this weekend and I will be making a Puppy Delivery to the Maryland/Virginia area on February 28th. Here is Mr. Rainbow Collar boy - he has a terrific low to non-shedding coat AND he is an excellent snowman maker!

Juneau's puppies are almost ready for their new homes.  They are doing great with housebreaking and have been enjoying their snowy Doodle Olympic games.

How many eggs do you not want?

This morning Mr. Yesteryear Acres began his weekly ritual of preparing the big Sunday Morning Breakfast Feast. My son asked if I wanted to eat breakfast with them.  I told him that I did want to eat with them but I did not want to eat the big Sunday morning breakfast.  I was going to have a small bowl of my healthy cereal.  I definitely consumed way too much Valentine's chocolate heavenly goodness so today, I had to really stick to the ole healthy eating routine.  My son then went on for at least 5 straight minutes with all the reasons I should eat their breakfast feast.  I have to admit - that boy really knows how to make a case.  With each statement, I felt my resolve slowly slipping away. That is when Mr. Yesteryear Acres yelled from the kitchen about HOW delicious the steak was going to be.  He was going all out.  Steak, Eggs, Caramelized Onions, Sauteed Mushroooms.  Oh My.  I stuck to my guns.  Cereal.  I am having cereal.  My son then said, "Do you know what will make you not want breakfast even more?"  I asked him, "What?"  That is when he said that I would not want breakfast even more if I went to the kitchen and made some homemade biscuits to go with their breakfast. Ummmmm how is it I am being roped into contributing to the Sunday morning breakfast feast of which I clearly am not eating????  Yes.  My son is that good.  I started making homemade biscuits for them.  To which Mr. Yesteryear Acres and my son said that if I were to make fresh squeezed orange juice - well that would REALLY make their breakfast unforgettable and I really would not want it even more.  Okay.  Orange juice coming up.  Right before Mr. Yesteryear Acres was ready to serve his Sunday Morning Breakfast Feast he asked me, "How many eggs do you not want?"  "Two. I definitely don't want 2 eggs with the breakfast I am not eating."  So............. the steak and eggs and biscuits and juice and feast - was delicious.  My 2 eggs I did not want were cooked perfectly and man - I make awesome biscuits.  Tomorrow - I am definitely having cereal for breakfast.  Definitely.

Hello Sunny Snow World

Yesterday I pretty much spent the majority of the day on the couch. Just me, my doggies, my blanky and my box of tissues. Or shall I say my now empty box of tissues! I was feeling rather crummy and even though it was Valentine's Day, I couldn't muster up much of a celebratory mood. Thankfully, Mr. Yesteryear Acres said our 29th Valentine's Day was just as special and awesome as all the other Valentine's Days.  We even got to watch a whole movie last night - so right there - that's a celebration in itself!  This morning I opened the back door and yep.....more snow!  It is getting to where 5 inches of newly fallen snow doesn't even surprise me anymore!

Once again there is so much snow in the backyard that Mr. Yesteryear Acres has to clear spots so the puppies have a place to go.  If he doesn't, they simply disappear in the big snow drifts!

Thankfully, Mr. Yesteryear Acres always has volunteers to help with the tidying up the snow areas.

29 Valentines of Love

Today marks the 29th Valentine's Day that Mr. Yesteryear Acres and I have celebrated together. We wondered how in the heck time flew by so quickly! In some ways it does feel like 29 Valentine's Days have come and gone but in other ways, it feels like we are still newly celebrating. Mr. Yesteryear Acres says it is because we are so in love that every day is Valentine's Day.  I have to agree.  I have the very best Valentine I could ever ask for.  Mr. Yesteryear Acres mom asked us what we are going to do to celebrate our big 29.....I said, "take care of puppies, do farm chores, cross things off our to-do list, you know - same ole same ole!"  And that is just what we did. I guess when you show each other you love each other every day - then Valentine's Day is just another awesome day just like the day before and just like it will be the day after.  Tonight we might have to treat ourselves to Sea Salt Caramel Fudge just to make sure to honor the holiday properly.  I mean what says I love you 29 times more than sharing chocolate fudge?!! Sounds perfect to me! Happy Valentine's Day!

Sharing Hot Chocolate - Bad Idea

My son has been battling a cold now for over a week.  It isn't really that bad but he has gone through his fair share of tissues. The other day he made me a cup of hot chocolate.  It was REALLY good. It was so good in fact that I made him taste how good it was.  I then shared my perfect cup of hot chocolate with him.  Bad idea. Two nights ago, I went to bed with a sore throat.  It was really sore.  When I woke up, not only did I have a sore throat but I was pretty congested as well.  All day yesterday I was in complete denial of my impending doom.  I drank tea.  I drank orange juice. I drank copious amounts of water.  I took extra vitamins.  I was definitely NOT getting sick.  No way.  I haven't been sick in over a year.  I am definitely not not not getting sick.  Last night I went to bed unable to breathe.  I surrounded myself with tissues.  I couldn't even sleep without tissues plastered to my face.  This morning....I must face the music.  I am sick.  I called Mr. Yesteryear Acres mommy to tell her that I cannot make her birthday dinner this weekend.  I don't think she wants to share what I have and I don't think I can muster up the strength to prepare the birthday feast.  I am admitting defeat.  I am waving the white flag......  under my nose because I need more tissues!!!! WAH!

Snow Tracks

Besides the little tiny puppy prints and doodle doggie prints in the snow, we had a few more snow tracks today.

An unknown four-legged creature visited our pond.  I am glad it is frozen solid!!!

He made it all the way across.  I wonder where he was going?

The horses have a specific set route they follow.  They walk in the exact same hoof prints every day.  They never vary their course. 

Which leaves acres and acres of untouched snow.  You would think one of them would say, "HEY! Let's go play somewhere new today!"
