This morning we awoke to just under 3" of rain in the rain gauge. To say it rained and rained and then rained some more is an understatement. Sadly, once again, our gravel driveway that leads back to our pond did not survive the rain/flood/deluge. It has been slowly taking a beating this summer and some time last night, it finally gave out. We had a good solid foot of driveway wash away. And I am talking a foot depth wise. It was a mess. Mr. Yesteryear Acres and my son started picking up the big stones and shoveling gravel out of yard by 7:00am this morning. Mr. Yesteryear Acres said his morning was off to a Rocky start....
This is actually supposed to be all grass right here!
Olive is wondering where the yard went
Time to start shoveling. All this gravel has to be moved back to the "driveway"
After 4 hours of shoveling....time for a small break
Olive was especially tired
Dude! That's a lot of gravel to shovel!!!!
Break time over!
Mr. Yesteryear Acres and my son spent 13 solid hours repairing the driveway.
Let's hope tonight we have clear skies!!!!!!
