November 30 Gratefulness - Puppy Noises

By dinner time last night, our house was once again empty.  It never gets any easier saying goodbye to our loved ones.  It is heartbreaking every time they have to leave. I miss them so much already. This morning when we woke up it was almost completely quiet.....almost.  Thank goodness for puppies!  I was so thankful for their little puppy noises and little puppy snuggles and little puppy kisses.  It made the empty house feel so much better.

They can now can hear us when we walk into the room

and give us little tail wags

November 29 Thankfulness - Packing it All in

The November Month of Thankfulness has just flown by.  Tomorrow marks the last day of the Thankfulness posts - but as always - every day is Thankfulness Day!!!! This Thanksgiving weekend has given me so much to be thankful for. Our house was full of family which brings my heart the greatest joy.  There is nothing I love more than my family and having everyone together under one roof is all that I wish for.  We did so much over the holiday weekend.  We packed it all in!!!

We had some Thanksgiving Fishing fun

This one became Saturday night's dinner

Everyone had an awesome time fishing!

Which was immediately followed by the Thanksgiving Pie Contest. Mmmmm!

My older daughter took the crown.  Her Banoffee Pie is to die for! So good!

And now we can add Thai food to our repertoire!

November 28 Gratefulness - 70 Years of Thankfulness

Today is my mom's 70th birthday.  We celebrated by going to an art studio to make hand blown glass ornaments!!!

There were beautiful colors to choose from

It was just as fun to watch the making of the ornaments as it was to make them!

My daughter picked out Aqua and White to make a snow ornament 

Mr. Yesteryear Acres picked out old fashioned colors - apricot and cobalt

Last but not least ....me!!!!!

I can't wait until next week when we can go pick up our final projects! I bet they look amazing!  Now we have ornaments to remember my mom's 70th birthday and the memories of an awesome art-filled day!

November 27 Gratefulness- Chef Time!

Today we woke up early after our turkey comas, started our farm chores right away and then decided Black Friday shopping would be just the way to work off all our extra calories! We had plans to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday later in the evening and so we made a day of it by wandering the malls together and taking advantage of the sales! What a fun day! There were so many people out and about but the best part was being all together. We laughed and played all throughout the stores and made quite the impression wherever we went! At the end of the day, we surprised my mom with a trip to Sur La Table for an Authentic Thai From Scratch cooking class! It was so much fun and SOOOOOO delicious! We are master chefs!!! We made Thai Spicy salad, Tom Ka Gai Coconut Soup, Stir Fry Wide Rice Noodles with Beef and Broccoli, and Forbidden Coconut Mango Rice Pudding. It was so yummy and we had the best time cooking all together. Best part was they did all the dishes for us!! :). We even bought matching aprons before we left so we could make more Holiday meals all together! So adorable! It was a wonderful Fun, Love and Laughter filled day! I am so grateful for the Chef Time!

November 26 Happy Thanksgiving!

We were blessed this Thanksgiving to be surrounded by family, delicious food, lots of laughter, beautiful clear skies, happy doodles, happy doodle puppies and endless gratitude. I am so grateful for this day and every day.  I am thankful for all that I have been given in life. There is nothing more important to me than my loved ones.  There is nothing more precious to me than to be surrounded by those I love.  I give thanks.

November 25 Gratefulness - Baking Happiness

Let the baking begin!  Thanksgiving is my very favorite holiday.  I love the entire premise of thankfulness and gratitude, a table full of family and love and an entire feast of heavenly food.  It is the perfect holiday. An entire day to give thanks and be surrounded by those you love. There is nothing better.  Today we are busy preparing food for the feast. I have been waiting a whole year for my favorite dinner to roll around again and I cannot wait.  My ovens are filled with yumminess and my heart is full of joy.  Thank you Thanksgiving.  You fill my home with all that I love.

November 24 Thankfulness - Slumber Party

My younger daughter had a rare day off of work today and came over to hang out for the day.  We got to eat lunch together and then she and her dad went Christmas Shopping together while I took care of things here at Yesteryear Acres.  I think they had a good time because they were gone for quite a while and came back with big smiles on their faces. I wonder what they got!?  Tonight my daughter is going to stay the night so we can have a slumber party.  I am so excited. Popcorn! Check! Ridiculous TV shows - Check!  Ice Cream O'Clock! Check!  I am so thankful to have some time with her.  I miss her and she is the light of my life.  Slumber Party Time....Begin!!!!!!

November 23 Gratefulness - New Joys

I am so grateful for our new little bundles of joy.  Our small standard poodle Petunia delivered 8 beautiful goldendoodle babies.

They will look just like teddy bears when they get bigger
